Ultimate Wedding Hair

I get a feeling for certian things. My past two roommates, I was able to predicit their future husbands just by looking at them on their first dates. I can walk by a restaurant, peer creepily into the windows, and just know if it's going to be DE-lish. I can also pick out goldfish who won't die immediately upon taking them home in squishy plastic bags. And now I am taking those powers of prediction to a new level and I'm just going to put it out there...The new wedding hair style that is going to throuroughly replace the side swept braid is the....wait for it....SIDE CHIGNON! And just in case you don't believe me, check out all these celebs sporting the look...

Faux Real: what to wear when it's downright COLD!!!

So the weather outside is frightful, and all I can think about is, "And I decided to get married in THIS!?!?"  Back in June when I was planning this shiznit, I scoffed at the potential February chill, thinking, oh I can handle that....besides, there's something so special about a winter wedding...yeah that something special will no doubt be the electric blanket I try to plug in near the altar at the church just to keep me from chattering during the I d'd'd'd'd'd'd'doos.

A woman at work today came in shaking off the cold and laying out her opinion, "I don't care what PETA says!  When the weather gets this cold, Girrrrllll, you need a FUR!" Now I don't think I'm ready to join the J-Lo chinchilla bandwagon, despite the fact that they do look gorgeous. Although I will be wearing a fur for my wedding, abeit a fake one that I bought at a Bronx Marshalls. I bought it 4 years ago and only because when I was trying it on a woman circling me like a shark leered into me growling, "If you don't buy that, I will!" 20 minutes later, yours truly owned a pink fur coat. How lovely for me that I actually need one now. Also, I just simply adore the reactions I get when I tell people that I'll be sporting a pink fur coat...it's more of a sandstone and not nearly as garish as it sounds, but still, it's pretty fucking ridiculous.

Anyway, here are some other options for you, whether you want to go Faux or Real:

Helen Yarmak makes some gorgeous fur coats that are probably WELL out of my price range

Then you've got the fake furs of Fabulous Furs

But believe it or not QVC is blowin' em all out of the water. Dennis Basso has a pretty decent collection with prices for the below items ranging from $99-$161....

Last but not least, also on QVC, Janie Bryant (you may know her for her work dressing the characters of Madmen) recently released a collection. Even though it's not fur, I LOVE the blue coat below....
